EMI Marcondes is reportedly open to a loan return to Denmark in search of consistent game time, according to Ekstra Bladet.

Midfielder Marcondes travelled and was named on the bench for Cherries’ trips to Newcastle and Chelsea, but the Dane has only made three senior appearances this term.

A summer signing ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, Marcondes has played just eight minutes of Cherries’ Premier League campaign, although he has scored in each of his two League Cup appearances.

Before the summer transfer window slammed shut in August the 27-year-old was linked with a loan move to Brondby in his native country, with the player himself turning down the opportunity.

Marcondes’ former clubs Nordsjaelland and Midtjylland are credited with an interest in taking the attacking midfielder on loan until the end of the campaign.

Speaking to Ekstra Bladet, Marcondes shared: “Of course I want to play, and I haven't done that much in the past six months.

“I miss playing time, and I think some good football is wasted by me sitting out

“I also think that in training, in the cup matches, and in under-23 matches, where I have also been captain, I have played well and also scored goals.

“So I feel an eagerness to show that I can do it every weekend at the highest level.

“It is something I miss and which I will try to look for in the transfer window we are entering now, if it cannot be at Bournemouth.”
