CHERRIES are “keeping tabs” on Hungary international Milos Kerkez ahead of a potential January move, according to a report by transfer website TEAMtalk.
Left-back Kerkez came through the youth ranks at Rapid Vienna, before joining Hungarian side Gyor in 2020.
A move to AC Milan swiftly followed for the Serbia-born talent, but he failed to make a competitive appearance for the Italian giants.
Kerkez joined Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in January 2022, where he has featured regularly this season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists in 31 appearances.
That includes gaining experience of European competition in the Conference League.
TEAMtalk claim both Cherries and Premier League rivals Leicester City are considering a move for the 19-year-old this month.
Cherries are said to have “made regular checks” on Kerkez, who has four caps for Hungary, and are ready to “firm up their interest” by making an offer.
The report goes on to claim Gary O’Neil will have a budget of £40million to spend this month to try and boost Cherries’ Premier League survival hopes.
Jordan Zemura is the club’s only recognised left-back in the squad, with Adam Smith and Lloyd Kelly also capable of filling that role.
