GARY O’Neil says Cherries will again have to make “a couple of late calls” on the fitness of some players ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Brentford (5.30pm).
Cherries are looking to end a run of five straight defeats, which included a 4-2 loss to Championship Burnley in the FA Cup last weekend.
Neto, David Brooks and Marcus Tavernier all missed the last game due to hamstring injuries, while Ryan Fredericks and Junior Stanislas have also been struggling with knocks and Jefferson Lerma missed the loss to the Clarets due to a knee problem.
Asked for an update on team news, O’Neil: “We’ll have to see. I think there will probably be a couple of late calls, it seems to be the way at the moment.
“It has been a tough spell on that front obviously. This season we’ve had some tricky situations to deal with injury wise, the loss of Lloyd for 12 weeks was a tough one, Neto when he’d come in and had such a big impact and then Tav as well has obviously been a blow for us.
“It’s been tough. As a newly promoted side your big performers, you need. Unfortunately we’ve lost a few.
“Having said that, the group are in real good spirits. We go to Brentford to put more points on the board.”
