REPORTS from France suggest that Dango Ouattara will travel to England today to complete a medical ahead of his switch to Cherries.

Burkina Faso international Ouattara looks set to become the first signing of the Black Knight-era for a fee rumoured to be in the region of £20million, with French sources citing a total transfer package of around £24million, including additional bonuses.

It is also reported that the Burkinabé will sign a deal stretching until the summer of 2028.

Cherries are hopeful everything can be rubber-stamped in time for the Burkina Faso international to be available to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday.

20-year-old Ouattara has six goals and six assists in 18 Ligue 1 appearances this term, helping his club, FC Lorient, to a current position of seventh in the league table.

Cherries chairman Bill Foley recently led a takeover of a 'significant minority share' in Lorient, the stake believed to be around 33 per cent of the Breton club.

Whilst the Daily Echo understands Cherries maintain an interest in Ouattara’s current teammate, Terem Moffi, it appears unlikely at this stage further signings will be made from Lorient.

Midfielder Enzo La Fee is another Lorient player linked to Cherries, but it seems that Ouattara will be the only player this window to swap Brittany for Dorset.
