BOSS Gary O’Neil says Mathieu Baudry has been a “big help” since returning to Cherries to assist some of the club’s new signings in settling in England.
Frenchman Baudry is currently on the books of Swindon Town, but has been allowed to spend time at Cherries as he recovers from a serious knee injury.
The 35-year-old spent 18 months as a player at Cherries between 2011 and 2012, having been snapped up from French outfit Troyes.
He made 13 appearances for the club, his only goal a notable late equaliser against Bristol Rovers, a League One contest Cherries went on to win 2-1 at Dean Court.
Discussing how much Baudry has been assisting French speakers Dango Ouattara and Hamed Traore, O’Neil told the Daily Echo: “He’s in most days with us to help out.
“Dango and Junior (Traore) obviously need a little bit of help with understanding football terminology and what’s needed of them.
“Mathieu has been a big help. Obviously a former player (here), the boys on the coaching staff know him well. He’s been helpful.”
