GARY O’Neil shared how the Cherries’ dressing room was “very down” following their last-gasp defeat at the hands of Arsenal, but insisted: “they’ll be fine”.
Cherries found themselves on track for a first win away at Arsenal with a two-goal lead after 55 minutes, Phil Billing’s first-minute strike doubled by Marcos Senesi at a corner.
However, league leaders Arsenal rallied back with goals from Thomas Partey, Ben White, and Reiss Nelson to turn Cherries’ dream start into a nightmare.
When asked how the dressing room was feeling in reaction to the late defeat, O’Neil drew upon his experience of losing matches late on as a player.

He told the Daily Echo: “Lads are very down, of course.
“Been there. Know what it feels like, to put in so much work and come up whatever it was, five seconds short.
“It is a big blow, but they'll be fine.
“Similar to me. Obviously devastated right now, but yeah, hours and maybe a day (later), you get back to work.
“Liverpool are coming next week, and we’ll be ready to go again.”
Cherries welcome Liverpool to the Vitality Stadium in their next Premier League game, with the fixture a lunchtime kick-off of 12:30pm on Saturday, March 11.
