LEICESTER City star Harvey Barnes admits “you almost can’t believe” the Foxes’ Premier League struggles, as they prepare for a huge clash against Cherries.
Gary O’Neil’s men head to King Power Stadium tomorrow (3pm), with both clubs sitting in the relegation zone, following midweek defeats.
Barnes netted for managerless Leicester in their loss to Aston Villa, and feels the squad should have enough to haul themselves to safety, with just nine games to go.
“We’ve got a lot of quality in the side,” Barnes told LCFC TV.
“For whatever reason this year, we’ve underachieved and we know that as players.
“It’s difficult sitting in that changing room, knowing. When you look around at the quality that we have and the position that we’re in, you almost can’t believe it.
“But we are where we are. We’ve got nine games left now and we’ll stick together, we’ll give our all and you’d like to think the quality we have will hopefully get us over the line.”
The one-time England international added: “We’ve got nine massive games left now, every game is as big as each other.
“Until we’re mathematically safe, we’re going to give 100 per cent.
“It’s strange, you win one game at the weekend and all of a sudden the league looks a bit different and you look at everything a little bit different.
“But until we do that, it’s full focus. Every game is as big as the next one.”
