IT WAS a first win in just over 34 years for Cherries away at Leicester on Saturday, Gary O'NEIL's side victorious 1-0.

Philip Billing grabbed his seventh goal of the campaign, the 40th minute strike proving eventually to be the winner.

Cherries had last won by the same scoreline at Leicester’s previous home of Filbert Street in December 1988 – 12,521 days ago.

Here are a few other interesting stats arising from Saturday’s win:

2 – After no clean sheets in 21 away matches in the Premier League, Cherries have now recorded two in their last four top-flight trips, beating Wolves 1-0 in February before recording a victory of the same margin against Leicester.

6 – It was also the first time in six meetings with the Foxes Cherries managed to record a clean sheet, having conceded eight goals in those matches.

11 - Dominic Solanke and Philip Billing have either scored or assisted 11 of Bournemouth's 13 Premier League away goals this season.

1 - Leicester City have taken only one point from their last eight Premier League matches, and their tally of eight points since Christmas is the lowest in the division.

2.2 – Cherries’ xG (Expected Goals) total from the game. In the past three games, Gary O’Neil’s side have recorded three of their four highest xG totals this campaign.

15 - Leicester have now conceded in 15 consecutive Premier League matches.

34 – Cherries last won away at Leicester City in 1988, just over 34 years ago. Colin Clarke grabbed the game’s only goal at Filbert Street for a Boxing Day win in the second tier.

1 - Aside from being their first win away at the Foxes in over 34 years, it was the first time Cherries have won at the King Power Stadium, and also their first win away at Leicester in the Premier League.

2 – Victory over Leicester was Cherries’ second this term, the first time this campaign they have completed a league double. The only possible side remaining they can achieve this feat against is Everton.

It is also the first time Cherries completed a league double over Leicester since the 1988/89 campaign the second tier. Remarkably, Cherries defeated the Foxes 2-1 at home and 1-0 away in both seasons.
