SCOTT Mitchell has qualified for his first ever PDC Euro Tour event.
Scotty Dog reached the final four at the ET12 Associate Member qualifier in Hildesheim, Germany, booking his spot at the Hungarian Darts Trophy in Budapest this September.
The Dorset dart thrower defeated Germans Kai Weinert and Sven Hilling in the opening two rounds, before beating the Netherlands’ Jeremy van der Winkel 5-2 in the round of 16.
Mitchell’s closest match of the day came in the quarter final with France’s Thibault Tricole, Scotty Dog’s 96.4 average powering him to a 5-3 win over the Frenchman.
He then managed to improve his scoring further in the semi final, averaging 98.6 to defeat Dutch player Mats Giels 5-1.
With four players qualifying for the event in Hungary, there was no need for a final, with Scot Andy Boulton beating Dutchman Christian Kist in the other semi-final.
