GARY O’Neil believes Euan Pollock’s “attitude” and “approach” gives the young striker a “real chance” of progressing in the game.
Pollock, 20, joined Cherries’ academy aged nine and signed a contract extension last month, which runs until the summer of 2024.
Hit with injury setbacks in recent years, Pollock is yet to make his first-team debut, but was an unused substitute for Premier League matches against Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion and Arsenal.
Discussing the striker’s new contract, Cherries boss O’Neil told the Daily Echo: “He’s a goal threat.
“He’s bright, works his socks off, is intelligent.
“He’s had a few injury issues, but has good potential and his attitude and his approach to everything that he does gives him a real chance of having a real decent, sustained career in the game.
“I’m really pleased for him that he’s signed his new deal.”
