FOLLOWING the weekend’s events, the Premier League line-up for 2023-24 is now complete.

Of course, Cherries already knew they would have a place at England’s top table for the second year in a row after getting the points they needed last month.

Defeat for Gary O’Neil’s men at Goodison Park on Sunday ensured Everton survived too, with Leeds United and Leicester City relegated along with rock-bottom Southampton.

Burnley and Sheffield United had already secured their top-flight returns, while Saturday saw a dramatic Championship play-off final at Wembley.

A new face will compete in the 32nd edition of the Premier League next term in Luton Town, who overcame Coventry City on penalties.

Elsewhere, of the other 17 Premier League clubs remaining in 23-24, seven are based in London, four in the north west, one in the north east, three from the Midlands while Cherries and Brighton & Hove Albion will be the south coast’s representatives.

Early odds

Cherries were written off by most before a ball was even kicked this season, before defying the odds to finish 15th.

A lot is still to happen to see how sides will look when the new campaign begins in August, but bookmakers are already giving their thoughts.

While not bottom of the pile this time around, SkyBet do have Cherries among the three teams most likely to go down next season.

Newly-promoted pair Luton (2-5) and Sheffield Utd (10-11) as odds-on, with Cherries priced at 2-1 for relegation.

Nearest to them on the list are Burnley (9-4) and Nottingham Forest (5-2).

Working up the table, odds of 6-1 are available for Cherries to achieve a top-half finish.

New owner Bill Foley has made no secret of helping Cherries push towards Europe over the next few years, with SkyBet offering speculative odds of 66-1 for O’Neil’s men to finish in the top four.

Champions Manchester City are unsurprisingly favourites to win the title again, priced at 8-15, with Arsenal and Liverpool (both 9-1) next on the list. For the most optimistic among you, Cherries are 1000-1 to be crowned league winners next term.

The season may have only just finished, but clubs do not have long to wait until they found out who they will be starting their 23-24 campaigns against.

Premier League fixtures are due to be released at 9am on Thursday, June 15, with the season set to start on Saturday, August 12, and finish on Sunday, May 19.

Cherries players are understood to be having around a month off following the loss at Everton, with a shorter summer due to the extended season caused by the winter World Cup.

Next season, the mid-season break will return, between January 13-20.

Meanwhile, the transfer window opens for top-flight clubs on Wednesday, June 14 and will close at 11pm on Friday, September 1.
