JUNIOR Stanislas received tons of support and thanks on social media from Cherries supporters after it was announced that the stalwart would be leaving the club after nine seasons.
Although forced into a bit-part role the past two seasons by injury, Stanislas leaves as a popular member of the playing squad, both within the changing room and in the stands.
As soon as official confirmation came out that the winger would depart this summer, there was an outpouring of love and gratitude on social media.
World champion boxer Chris Billam-Smith and lifelong Cherry fan led the tributes, sharing how the 33-year-old was a “brilliant human.”

One of the best dead ball specialists I've ever seen. So much love for Junior. Thank you for everything pal 🍒❤️🖤 https://t.co/deG6zzILY8
Stanislas, alongside Ryan Fredericks and Marcus Tavernier, watched on at the Vitality last weekend as Billam-Smith defeated Lawrence Okolie to claim the WBA cruiserweight title.
The only other member of the side that lifted the Championship title in 2014/15 still at the club, Adam Smith, inadvertently announced his teammate’s departure on Instagram prior to official confirmation.
After Junior Stanislas departs, there will only be one member of the #afcb Championship winning side of 2014/15 remaining in the playing squad ❤🖤❤ pic.twitter.com/cd6grrhL8P

Alongside the also departing Jefferson Lerma, Cherries vice-skipper Smith shared how Stanislas had been a great servant to the club.
Here are some tributes we have picked out from Cherries supporters.
junior stanislas is a huge talent who played some significant roles for our club. the championship was like a playground for him, such a joy to watch. my personal favourite moment has to be his corner kick goal vs united in our first pl season. absolute legend, always a cherry 🍒 pic.twitter.com/RSF5i82PJK

What's such a real shame is for too long we've missed out on seeing Junior doing what he does best, because when fit he's such a lovely player to watch!

Add to that the fans haven't been able to say their goodbyes, but I certainly wish him well in all he does in the future #afcb
Phenomenal player on his day. Creative outlet. Injuries blighted him (especially his latter years) but it doesn't replace all the good memories he gave us. Good luck Junior #afcb https://t.co/gM57EQcvE7

I like many fans have been frustrated about his injury record, but nobody chooses to be injured. His contribution over the past 9 years has been immense. Good luck Junior. #afcb https://t.co/aAG8ymS2uf
