ANDONI Iraola confirmed Cherries are set to bring in a goalkeeper to replace the outgoing Mark Travers, as he provided an update on the club’s summer transfer business.

So far in this window, the squad has been strengthened with the arrivals of Justin Kluivert and Milos Kerkez. Romain Faivre has also been signed, but sent straight out on loan to Lorient.

It is understood Romanian international goalkeeper Andrei Radu is set to join Cherries on loan from Inter Milan, allowing Mark Travers to head out on a temporary deal with Stoke City.

Asked for a transfer update following Tuesday’s 3-2 win at Southampton, head coach Iraola said: “There is movement going on, but we have to wait until everything is closed.

“Probably it will be another keeper coming, for Mark.

“That is the idea, but it is not official, so we have to wait until everything is done, medicals are done.

“For sure new players will come. The club is working on it, but in the market, we have to wait a lot of times because first the big clubs make their signings, then you have to wait a little bit behind until your time arrives.

“This is normal, it happens in every league.”
