POOLE Town have appointed former Cherries striker Matt Tubbs as their new manager.
Dolphins produced shockwaves in the local non-league scene when they announced they had sacked Tom Killick just a month into his 20th season in charge at Tatnam Farm.
Tubbs arrives from Southern League Division One South outfit Bashley, where he began his management career last November as interim manager, before being appointed on a permanent basis in December.

Poole's new manager arrives on a rolling contract. Tubbs holds a UEFA A licence, and away from the semi-professional game he is head of football at Brockenhurst College.
Killick worked with Tubbs at Salisbury City, the former assistant manager whilst the latter was beginning their playing career.
As well as playing professionally for Cherries, Tubbs also turned out for Crawley Town, featuring for the club when current Poole Town director Phil Jarman was also at the Sussex-based outfit.
The new manager's backroom staff will be confirmed later this week, but no member of Killick's coaching team will remain at the club.
Tubbs’ first game in charge of Poole will be a tricky trip to Hayes & Yeading this Saturday (3pm).
After six league games, Poole are seventh in the Southern Premier South table, with 10 points.
Dolphins advanced into the second qualifying round of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win over Barnstaple in Killick's last game in charge, with the draw for the next stage set to be made at 1pm this afternoon.
