THE IRAOLA family are settling into life in Dorset, but Cherries head coach Andoni Iraola has put a pause on adventures across the south coast after his two children started school.
In pre-season, Iraola detailed how he visited Durdle Door on a rare day off from training, stating that he planned to explore other local landmarks when he got the opportunity.
The recent international break allowed the Basque the chance to visit Moors Valley with his family, but stated that further exploration was on hold as his kids focused on starting school.
He told the Daily Echo: “We've done some exploring, mostly now we are focused on the kids.
“They've started school and we don't want to push them a lot.
“But we've gone to Moors Valley, and they loved it.
“Very nice for the kids especially.
“But we didn't want to spend their energy.
“Now they are focused on school, so we used the days to rest a little bit.”
Iraola has previously revealed that neither his wife nor kids are massive football fans, which he appreciates as he uses his time with his family to unwind.
“Sometimes I would say it's quite nice not to have to discuss it again with her,” Iraola restarted.
“She doesn't want to know.
“I think it's good for me.
“It's good for me because everything here is very focused on the same stuff about football, the importance of everything.
“Sometimes you arrive home and you have to switch off, and I think it's good for a coach.”
Iraola’s next adventure with Cherries will take him across the south coast to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, September 24.
