TYLER Adams could make his Cherries debut against Stoke City on Wednesday evening, boss Andoni Iraola confirmed.

The USA international arrived for a fee of around £23million from Leeds United over the summer.

He has been nursing a hamstring injury since he signed, but returned to training with the group last week and could feature now against Stoke in the Carabao Cup at Vitality Stadium.

“If he trains well today, maybe we could put Tyler in the squad,” Iraola said.

“I think he is doing really well. He wants to help and we have to take the decision after today’s training.

“But I think and I hope he is available, at least to be with us on the bench.”

However, there is some downside on the injury front. Lloyd Kelly limped off towards the end of the loss at Brighton on Sunday and is now expected to miss the next three fixtures.

“Lloyd Kelly was injured the other day,” said Iraola.

“He finished the game as you saw with a small injury.

“But even if it is a small injury, it is not going to be easy to have him before the international break, because it’s 10 days until we play Everton, so it’s going to be tough I think to have him before the break.”

Iraola confirmed fellow centre-back Chris Mepham is also unavailable.

“The other day before the game I also forgot to tell you about Meps,” said the Spaniard.

“He also has a small injury, probably the same timetable as Lloydy, something similar.”

Alex Scott, Ryan Fredericks and Emiliano Marcondes also all remain sidelined, while Luis Sinisterra is cup-tied having featured for parent club Leeds United earlier in the competition.

Asked if he plans to freshen up his team following Sunday's loss at Brighton, Iraola said: "Whatever selection we make, it’s going to be a Premier League team, because they are our players.

"But it is true that I think we have to change some players, because the timeframe we have this week is six days. We played Sunday and then we play Saturday against Arsenal.

"We are playing three games, so it is going to be hard.

"Maybe there is one or two players that have to play the three games.

"But it’s not an easy week for us and we will have to see how they train today."
