CHERRIES boss Andoni Iraola described upcoming opponents Arsenal as a “powerful” team who have “added some toughness” this season.

Cherries are looking for their first Premier League win of the campaign tomorrow when Arsenal visit Vitality Stadium (3pm).

The Gunners led the Premier League table for much of the last campaign, before eventually finishing second, five points behind Manchester City.

They spent big this summer to bolster their squad, signing Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice, as well as snapping up goalkeeper David Raya on loan.

Across all competitions, Mikel Arteta’s men are unbeaten so far this season, but home draws against Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur have left them in fifth, already four points off City.

“We are facing a very good opponent who have not lost,” Iraola said of Arsenal.

“We have to be ready, we have to prepare well for the game.

“I think we have to keep doing the things we did right against Brighton (3-1 defeat last weekend), but we have to try to be more efficient.

“They have been really, really good. They haven’t lost.

“Even the games they tied, I think they were closer to winning those games.

“They are powerful. They control the game, normally long stretches of possession.

“But they added some toughness with Declan Rice, Havertz, physically also they are now a stronger team. It is a difficult opponent.”
