ANDONI Iraola confirmed that Tyler Adams is set for another spell on the sidelines after his absence from Cherries’ 4-0 defeat to Arsenal.
After coming off the bench to make his debut in the 2-0 EFL Cup win over Stoke in midweek, Adams was not named in Cherries’ squad for today's match, goals from Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, and Ben White propelling Arsenal to victory at Vitality Stadium.
A summer signing for a reported £23million, the USA international arrived from Leeds amidst his recovery from a hamstring injury sustained last season.
The 24-year-old was deemed fit enough to play some part on Wednesday night, but subsequently he has suffered a setback that will leave him out “for some time” according to Iraola.
Cherries head coach Iraola told the Daily Echo; “I don’t know what to call it, a setback, but he is not feeling well.
“He has been out for a lot of time, so we have to reassess, to reset, to take the good decisions, thinking in everything.
“It is true that he is going to be out for some time, for sure.
“I think it’s the same area.
"I couldn’t tell you if it’s exactly the same point, but it’s true that it’s his hamstring that he is not feeling well.”
