A TRIO of Cherries players have been called up by Wales for their European Championship Qualifier against Croatia.
Chris Mepham, David Brooks, and Kieffer Moore have been selected by Dragons boss Rob Page for the fixtures that will be staged in the October international break that follows Cherries’ trip to Everton this weekend.
The inclusion of defender Mepham bodes well for Cherries, indicating that the centre-back is closing in on a return to full fitness.
Prior to their crucial clash with World Cup semi-finalists Croatia, Wales will host Gibraltar in a friendly at Wrexham’s Cae Ras, on Wednesday, October 11.
They then return to south Wales to host Croatia at the Cardiff City stadium on Sunday, October 15.
Wales are currently in fourth in Group D, three points behind pool leaders Croatia who have played one game fewer.
