ANDONI Iraola is keeping tabs on the performances of Mark Travers at Stoke City, and feels the goalkeeper is “doing really well” during his loan spell.
Republic of Ireland international Travers featured for Cherries in pre-season, before completing his loan move to the Potteries.
Due to stipulations within the loan agreement, Travers was unable to feature against his parent club in the recent EFL Cup tie at Vitality Stadium.
However, the 24-year-old has made 12 appearances for Championship Stoke so far this season, conceding 18 goals and keeping one clean sheet.

Following previous loan spells away at Weymouth and Swindon Town, Maynooth-born Travers shone when he got his chance in the Cherries first team under Scott Parker in the 2021-22 campaign.
He missed just one league fixture, winning the Championship golden glove award.
Travers subsequently signed a fresh five-year contract and started the following campaign as number one in the top flight, before Parker was sacked and new boss Gary O’Neil dropped him for Neto.
Keen for regular game-time, Travers pushed for an exit this summer, which was facilitated when Cherries drafted in Andrei Radu on loan as competition for Neto.
Fellow goalkeeper Will Dennis also headed out on loan in the summer, to Scottish outfit Kilmarnock.
Discussing Travers, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “He has been playing, he is doing really well.
“We also have Will Dennis on loan. We are also in contact with him.
“I think it was a good chance, he (Travers) wanted to play.
“I was very happy with his performances in training in pre-season, but I think he demanded the loan move.
“I think he is doing well, he is in permanent contact, especially with Neil Moss, he is our goalkeeping specialist.
“I hope he continues in the same way.”
Travers was an unused substitute for Ireland’s two recent Euro 2024 qualifiers against Greece and Gibraltar, with Southampton’s Gavin Bazunu preferred.
