TYLER Adams will be ruled out until the new year after undergoing further surgery on his hamstring injury.
Adams joined Cherries from Leeds United for around £23million over the summer.
But he has managed just 20 minutes of action, before suffering a recurrence of the hamstring problem which saw him miss the end of last season.
USA international captain Adams initially picked up the injury in March whilst training with Leeds, undergoing surgery to repair the issue.
He made his return off the bench in last month’s Carabao Cup clash against Stoke City, but will have to wait some time for his second Cherries appearance.
Asked about Adams undergoing surgery again, head coach Andoni Iraola said: “When we talked two weeks ago, it was one of the options after his feelings when he played the cup game.
“He had to solve, once and forever, these problems. He has had surgery.
“He will be out for three or four months, something like this, depending how he evolves.
“But I think from the previous surgery, he wasn’t feeling well in any moment.
“He was improving, then he had a setback, improving again, setback.
“So he had to have surgery again.”
