CHERRIES have recalled goalkeeper Mark Travers from his loan spell at Championship side Stoke City to address their goalkeeping crisis.
News of an ankle injury that has ruled captain Neto out until the November international break leaves Cherries with just Andrei Radu as a senior goalkeeper registered at the club.
Deputy Darren Randolph is also currently unavailable.
Travers was registered in Cherries' 25-man Premier League squad, helping to facilitate the emergency recall clause in his loan move.
During his loan spell, Travers played 14 times for the Potters, conceding 19 goals and keeping two clean sheets.
His final appearance in a Stoke shirt saw him record a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Leeds United on Wednesday night.
As Travers took part in Stoke’s EFL Cup first round tie win over West Brom, the Irishman will be ineligible to face Liverpool this Wednesday.
Last campaign Travers made 12 appearances in the Premier League for Cherries, his most recent top-flight appearance the final day defeat away at Everton.
Stoke technical director Ricky Martin shared: “Firstly, we would like to thank Mark for his contribution during his time as a Stoke City player, during which his performances have shown his Premier League calibre.
