LIVERPOOL will still be without influential midfielder Thiago Alcantara for Wednesday’s trip to Cherries (7.45pm).

The Spaniard has not played all season due to a hip injury.

Reds assistant manager Pep Lijnders said: “We miss Thiago, I have to say. I miss him a lot.

“Can you imagine our midfield, our new players everybody is speaking about and then you have Thiago Alcantara in the middle as well? We really miss him.

“But it will take time. He will not be available. We hope to get him back soon.”

Lijnders also confirmed Stefan Bajcetic remains ruled out, along with Conor Bradley and Andy Robertson.

Talented Scot Ben Doak has returned to training, while Curtis Jones is available again for the EFL Cup clash following suspension.

The winners at Vitality Stadium will progress into the quarter-finals.
