RYAN Christie says it has “been a pleasure” to play alongside Alex Scott so far, adding: “I can’t give him enough praise.”
Cherries’ fanbase and squad are holding their collective breath as they wait for a full diagnosis of an injury picked up by Scott at the weekend.
The 20-year-old was forced off during the first half of the 6-1 defeat at Manchester City, with what boss Andoni Iraola described afterwards as “something inside the knee”.
Scott recently returned from an injury in the opposite knee, making an instant impact with impressive performances in home games against Wolves, Burnley and Liverpool.
Discussing the displays of the former Bristol City man, teammate Christie told the Daily Echo: “I think everybody has been unbelievably impressed at how well Alex has done in the last few games when he’s come in, especially with what has been asked of him.
“He’s been out for quite a while and he’s come straight in, gets his Premier League debut and doesn’t look out of place at all, for a kid so young.
“I can’t give him enough praise.
“It’s been a pleasure playing with him in there.
“Fingers crossed it (the injury) is not so bad.
“With an international break as well coming up gives him an extra wee spell to hopefully get back fit, but we’ll wait and see.”
