FORMER Cherries midfielder Dan Gosling has dropped down to League Two to join Notts County.

The 33-year-old was without a club, having left Watford over the summer.

Gosling has not played competitively since a 0-0 draw against Bristol City in the Championship in November 2022, due to an Achilles injury.

He has spent time recently training with Wycombe Wanderers, but has now put pen-to-paper on a short-term deal with Notts County, signing until January 6, 2024.

The Magpies, managed by Luke Williams, currently sit second in the fourth tier.

Gosling made 192 appearances during his time at Cherries between 2014 and 2021, scoring 22 goals.

The former England under-21 international previously played for the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Newcastle United and Everton and has never played outside the top two tiers throughout his career.
