ANDONI Iraola was pleased to see Luis Sinisterra “takes everything from every minute” after coming off the bench to score on Saturday.

The Colombia international was introduced with less than 20 minutes to play and Cherries 4-0 down away at Manchester City.

Two minutes after coming on he had found the net, for the first time since his summer loan move from Leeds United.

Cherries went on to lose 6-1.

Since joining Cherries, the 24-year-old has made just four appearances, all as a substitute.

He has been hampered by being unable to play in Carabao Cup fixtures, having represented Leeds earlier in the competition.

Sinisterra’s international exploits with Colombia have also been cited by Iraola as a reason for his lack of game-time, not even making the matchday squad after last month’s break in fixtures.

Discussing the winger’s goal at the Etihad, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “With Luis, with the international stops that he’s had and being cup-tied, we couldn’t use him.

“I think it is good that he takes everything from every minute he has.

“It is good that he scored his first goal.”

Sinisterra will hope for further game-time when Cherries welcome Newcastle United to Vitality Stadium on Saturday (5.30pm).
