CHERRIES are not resting on their laurels after picking up two wins in their last three league games, with boss Andoni Iraola insisting: “We still need more”.

Victories at Dean Court over Burnley and Newcastle, in combination with a 10 points deduction for Everton, have seen Cherries’ position in the Premier League table strengthen, with Iraola’s charges now sat in 16th, four points above the relegation zone.

Their next opponents, Sheffield United, currently occupy the final relegation spot, with Cherries travelling north to Yorkshire tomorrow afternoon (3pm).

Like Cherries, the Blades’ final games prior to the international break were more positive than what had come before, Paul Heckingbottom’s side picking up a first league win of the campaign of Wolves before picking up a point away at Brighton.

“We still need more!” replied Iraola when asked about the uptick in form prior to the pause for national team games.

“It’s good, especially to win last two games at home and having good performances.

"But we still need more points.

"We still need more and more goals, more good performances. We need to improve away.

“We are facing a team also that has come from two very good results.

“They will make the game difficult for us and we have to be focused and be ready for this level of toughness.”

So far this season the Blades have lined up in some variation of a three-man central-defence with wing backs joining the attack, just as they did last term when they secured automatic promotion from the Championship.

Asked how he went about tactical battles when facing sides with a different shape to his own style, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I think every week is the same.

“You have your own idea, your own players that you want to put in the starting 11, but then you have to adapt also to the things they do, how they position.

“They can go different ways.

“They normally play with three at the back with wing backs, but they've also played with four at the back.

“They've done well, so we have to prepare for both scenarios. Even when they play with three at the back, sometimes they go to two straight forwards, sometimes they just go with one and put more players in the middle.

“So there are different situations that you have to consider.

“You don't want to touch a lot your team, how they play.

“But sometimes there are adjustments that you have to make that gives you more chances to win.”
