ANDONI Iraola feels that Cherries’ improvement when it comes to “small details” have helped rectify their league form.

Cherries have risen up the Premier League table in recent weeks, courtesy of three wins from their last four top-flight fixtures.

It had taken Cherries 10 attempts to win a Premier League game under Iraola since his appointment this summer, finally achieving the feat when they defeated fellow strugglers Burnley.

Since then, confidence has returned to Vitality Stadium, with impressive wins over Newcastle United and Sheffield United.

Asked if he could explain Cherries’ uptick in form, Iraola responded: “This is not a question for me.

“I think you never know what's going to happen in football.

“We all know how we are going to play next week against Aston Villa, against Palace on Wednesday.

“I think you have to try to maximise your chances every single week.

“I feel like the team is performing better.

“At the beginning of the season, we had very good games where we didn't take anything points wise and we have to be also competing better first minutes of the games scored just before half time.

“Small details that convert these performances into points.

“Probably at the beginning of the season we didn't have or maybe the opposition was better than us then.”
