CHERRIES winger Marcus Tavernier has been nominated for the Premier League’s player of the month for November.
The 24-year-old is up against Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku, who scored one and set up a further four goals against Cherries in November, the resurgent Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, Luton keeper Thomas Kaminski, and fellow wingers Anthony Gordon and Raheem Sterling, of Newcastle and Chelsea respectively.
Tavernier opened his account for the campaign last time out, scoring twice away at Sheffield United as Cherries recorded a 3-1 win.
Explaining his nomination, the Premier League website states: “The 24-year-old winger was integral in helping AFC Bournemouth move away from the bottom three with two wins from three November matches, including a 2-0 victory over Newcastle.
“Tavernier finished the month with two goals in a 3-1 win at Sheffield United.”
Fans will be able to vote for Tavernier on the EA Sports website before 12pm on Monday, December 4.
The public vote will then be combined with votes from a panel of football experts, the winner announced on Friday, December 8, at 11am.
