RYAN Christie warned how former Celtic teammate Odsonne Edouard is “absolutely flying” as the pair prepare to lock horns in the Premier League tomorrow.

Christie heads to Selhurst Park with Cherries, to face Edouard and Crystal Palace.

The pair spent three years together at Celtic Park, before both heading south of the border in the summer of 2021.

Both men are currently in impressive form, Christie starring in a deeper midfield role for Cherries, while striker Edouard has netted seven times in 14 appearances this term.

During their spell together in Glasgow, the pair won back-to-back league and cup trebles.

Discussing Edouard, who scored 87 goals in 179 appearances for Celtic, Christie told the Daily Echo: “A brilliant player. As soon as he got his move down, I could tell he was going to be successful for them (Palace).

“The start of this season he is absolutely flying and certainly knows how to find the net.

“He is one of many players we will be conscious of, because he’s a big threat, and another familiar face to say hello to.”

The Frenchman’s latest goal came in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at West Ham United.

It took his overall tally for the Eagles to 20 goals in 82 games.
