ANDONI Iraola is set to to receive a touchline ban after being booked during Saturday afternoon’s chaotic 3-2 victory at Nottingham Forest.

The Spaniard was shown a yellow card by referee Rob Jones, shortly after Forest centre-back Willy Boly had been controversially sent off.

Iraola was booked for gesturing for a second yellow card for the Ivorian.

The former Rayo Vallecano boss was previously booked earlier this season in the 2-2 draw at Brentford, and 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Liverpool.

“This is a mistake for me because instinctively whenever this happens, I raised (my hand) for the yellow,” said Iraola

“I think nobody saw me. But, you have the fourth official!

“I think it's too harsh. Too harsh because it's I didn't even (complete the gesture).

“I think (the one at) the start of the year is because of the same reason.

“I didn't even shout you know, but it's like we are sometimes still players!

“It's something that I know that I need to improve.

“But I think it is too harsh because at the end I will not be able to be in the dugout against Fulham.

“It is a big frustration.”

Discussing Boly’s sending off offence, Iraola said: “I haven't seen it repeated, the second yellow. We didn’t have (replays screens) beside us.

“I didn't see any replay as well.”

Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper are expected to take charge if Iraola’s ban is indeed confirmed by the Premier League.
