ANDONI Iraola feels Joe Rothwell and Hamed Traore still have futures at Cherries, despite being loaned out this week.
After struggling for game-time, Rothwell joined Southampton in the Championship on a deal until the end of the season, while Traore has reigning Serie A champions Napoli for the same period.
Discussing the midfield duo’s departures, head coach Iraola said: “I think they are moves that are good for every part.
“Starting with the players, they are two players that probably for sure wanted to have more minutes.
“They have found very good alternatives, very good chances for them and we wish them all the best. I hope both of them have the chances, the opportunities and I think they are both ready.”
Asked if Rothwell and Traore still have futures with Cherries, Iraola added: “Yes, I think so. In the end they are good players, they have already shown it in different places and I think it is always strong competition to be part of the team.
“Especially the last months where the team has been performing quite well and it has been tough for them to have the minutes they wanted.
“But I think there is no doubt they are both very good players.”
