GOALS from Harry Morgan and Cam Munn were enough for Wimborne Town to return to the top of the Southern League Division One South table with victory at Paulton Rovers.
Morgan broke the deadlock early on, before substitute Munn sealed a 2-0 win 15 minutes from time.
Magpies made a flying start and were rewarded with the opening goal on nine minutes, Morgan controlling a high ball before swivelling and firing low past goalkeeper Frankie Phillips.
Lewis Beale and Sam Griffin had efforts to extend the lead, while Wimborne looked strong in defence with Billy Walker, Scott Arnold and Ross Flitney making important interventions.
Most of the action came at the other end. Harry Baker’s shot struck the post, before Beale fired over.
Paulton improved after the break, but Magpies still looked dangerous and duly doubled their tally.
A cross from the left was volleyed goalwards by Beale, with Munn turning it home with his first touch after coming on as a substitute.
A close-range effort from Griffin was well saved late on, as Wimborne saw out the win.
Tim Sills next takes his side to Bristol Manor Farm, on Saturday.
Magpies: Flitney, Hanger, Walker, Arnold, Jackson, Carmichael, Neale (Munn, 73), Beale (Hoey, 83), Morgan, Griffin, Baker (Lovell, 68).
Unused subs: Griffiths, Pike.
