CHERRIES’ FA Women’s National League Division One South West clash at away at Southampton Women has been pre-emptively postponed.
Steve Cuss’s charges were set to travel over the county border and into Hampshire this evening to face second-bottom Southampton at Test Park.
However, heavy downpours on Wednesday saw the contest called off on Thursday morning, with a new date to be re-arranged in due course.
Cherries are now next in action when they visit Keynsham Town on Sunday, February 25 (2pm).
Keynsham are currently in sixth place in the league table, whilst Cherries are locked in a title battle with Exeter City.
Although Cherries are nine points behind the Grecians having played three games fewer, the only time either side have dropped points was in the only league meeting between the two this season – a 1-1 draw earlier this month.
