POOLE newcomer Tom Brennan says he cannot wait to get going at Wimborne Road – as he looks to help the Pirates reclaim the SGB Championship title.
Brennan was one of the big movers of the winter having been part of the Glasgow team which raced to glory in last year’s grand final, ironically at the expense of the Dorset club.
The GB international recently impressed in action for the ‘Rest of the World’ at Kern Raceway, California, and is now involved in pre-season training in Poland.
Brennan told Pirates’ official website: “Now I have had the time away racing in America I have blown the cobwebs away and felt what it is like to be back in the zone and soak up the atmosphere, and I am really looking forward to the season ahead.
“I am really excited about joining Poole and as I have said before, looking in from the outside, Poole has always seemed to be a very professionally run club and to have the chance to be part of it is something very special indeed.
“I am really honoured to be here after so many years of kind of racing behind them, and I am looking forward to it.”
Pirates get their season underway against Oxford Cheetahs in the BSN Series on Friday, March 29.
