DOMINIC Solanke says he came through Cherries’ 2-0 victory over Burnley unscathed after an injury scare.

After undergoing a knee scan and missing Cherries’ FA Cup exit to Leicester City, talismanic striker Solanke played 89 minutes of Sunday’s win at Turf Moor.

This term Solanke has scored 14 of Cherries’ 35 Premier League goals, highlighting his worth to Andoni Iraola’s side.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Solanke shared: “It’s been quite difficult – I’ve been in quite a bit of pain during the week.

“Obviously, I don’t want to miss any games. I didn’t quite make the cup game, but managed to get myself back (for Burnley).

“I had a scan in the week, and it wasn’t so bad. It was more just how I felt leading up to the game. I felt like I could get through the game.”

Asked for an update on his own availability for the coming games, Solanke replied: “Yeah, I’ll be fine.”

After picking up a first Premier League win of 2024, Cherries will be hoping to string together another run of wins with home games against relegation threatened Sheffield United and Luton Town in the coming weeks.

Solanke continued: “It’s always hard not to think about the bottom – the top as well.

“I think we’ve got the squad to push high up the table, and finish as high as we can.

“It was a great result, to get the three points, and we’ve got another two games coming up next week and we’ll definitely be looking to get three points in both of them.”

Cherries first welcome Sheffield United to Vitality Stadium on Saturday, March 6 (3pm) before hosting Luton town in a rearranged encounter on Wednesday, March 13 (19.30pm).
