CHERRIES boss Andoni Iraola shared that he felt Dango Ouattara always carries a threat for opposing teams after the Burkinabe produced a goal and an assist off the bench in a 2-2 draw with Sheffield United.
With Cherries trailing at the break to a Gustavo Hamer goal, Ouattara was introduced in place of left-back Milos Kerkez, who had already received a booking.
And whilst Sheffield United doubled their advantage via Jack Robinson, Ouattara’s headed finished rallied a comeback for Cherries.
The Burkina Faso international recycled the ball back into the box for Enes Unal to head home and restore parity.
Asked if Ouattara had been brought on to avoid Kerkez picking up a second yellow or to give Cherries more offensive threat, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “A little bit of everything.
“We considered that Milos had a yellow card.
“Also we needed (him) because we were arriving quite easy, in different situations.
“Dango is always a threat.
“Not only on the crosses, even sometimes going inside, finishing even with his right foot.
“He’s also a threat in set pieces.
“So I think he's more offensive than Milos.
"And in the situation we were thinking, we required this.”
