CHERRIES boss Andoni Iraola was pleased to see midfielder Tyler Adams make his Premier League debut for the club, stating: “I think he is going to be a very good addition for this last part of the season.”
Over a year on from his last top-flight appearance for Leeds United, Adams came off the bench to help Cherries beat Luton Town 4-3 on Wednesday night.
After suffering a setback to a hamstring issue earlier this season, Adams appears to be on the cusp of full fitness.
Discussing Adams, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “It is very important.
“I am happy because he finished really well. He has shown his composure on the ball.
“It was not an easy moment to get into the game and play.
“He played 20, plus 10, so almost 30 minutes and did what he had to do.
“He was Tyler from the beginning and I think he is going to be a very good addition for this last part of the season.”
Adams will now join up with the USA national team for CONCACAF Nations League matches.
The US face Jamaica in the semi-final of the competition on Thursday, March 21, either advancing to the final or a third-place play-off on Saturday, March 23.
Either Panama or Mexico will be their opponents, depending on which country wins the other semi-final.
