CHERRIES midfielder Alex Scott has received his maiden call-up to the England under-21 side.
Lee Carsley named Scott amongst his 24-strong squad for England’s under-21s Euro qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Luxembourg this month.
Born on the Channel Islands, Scott has represented England at under-18, under-19, and under-20 level.
Across the three different age categories, the midfielder has amassed 22 caps, helping the under-19s to win the under-19s Euros in 2022.
Since arriving from Championship outfit Bristol City last summer, Scott has made 19 appearances for Cherries, playing 15 times in the Premier League.
Scott will be joined in the squad by former Cherries loanee Morgan Rogers, who now turns out for Aston Villa.
England visit Azerbaijan on Friday, March 22 before hosting Luxembourg at Bolton’s Toughsheet Community Stadium on Tuesday, March 26.
