CHERRIES winger Luis Sinisterra has dropped out of international duty with Colombia due to “physical discomfort”.
Sinisterra was set to be part of the Colombian side facing Spain in a friendly at West Ham’s London Stadium on Friday.
The former Leeds United man will also miss Colombia’s friendly against Romania, which is set to be staged in Spain next Tuesday.
A statement on the Colombian FA website, translated from Spanish to English, stated that Sinisterra was leaving the national team due to “physical discomfort that prevents him from being in full condition”.
Later on in the statement the Colombian FA shared that they wish Sinisterra a “speedy recovery” before adding that they are “hoping that in the next opportunity he can be a part of the national team again.”
Sinisterra has been replaced by Carlos Gomez of Real Salt Lake City in the MLS.
