FORMER Cherry Mark Molesley has returned to the south coast, rejoining Weymouth as manager.
Affectionately nicknamed ‘Moles’, the 43-year-old recently stepped down from his role at Southern Premier League South Hayes & Yeading in order to replace the outgoing Bobby Wilkinson at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
In total Molesley played 60 times for Cherries, helping the side achieve the ‘Great Escape’ by avoiding relegation out of the Football League in 2009.
Molesley started his senior managerial career with the Terras, lifting Weymouth from the seventh tier to the fifth in three seasons.
Whilst first managing Weymouth, Molesley combined the role with a coaching gig at Cherries academy, with current first teamers Mark Travers and Jaidon Anthony featuring on loan for Terras during his time in charge.
In 2020 Molesley left to join League Two club Southend United, and has since had spells in charge of Hampshire outfits Aldershot Town and Gosport Borough.
