A FIVE-STAR performance from Cherries at home to Torquay United kept the side on track in their campaign for the FA Women’s National League Division One South West title.
A first-half brace from Molly Barron-Clark set Cherries on their way at Ringwood Town, before the midfielder turned provider for Erin Bloomfield at the start of the second period.
Barron-Clark would go on to complete her hat-trick, before Kenni Thompson rounded off the scoring.
The victory burns up Cherries’ last game in hand over league leaders Exeter City, who sit atop the division by two points after 19 games.
Both sides have three games remaining in their league season, the campaign culminating in what could still be a winners-take-all meeting on the final day, when Cherries visit Exeter City.
The Grecians have announced ticketing details ahead of the final day clash, which will be hosted at Exwick Sports Hub.
Next weekend Cherries take on bottom-placed Selsey in their final home game of the league campaign, before visiting Moneyfields on Thursday, April 25.
Cherries: Scadding, Bowers (Venditto, 64), Treweek, Jones, James (Smith, 68), Barron-Clark (Buckingham, 68), Hillier (Butler, 64), McGuinness, Cooper, Thompson, Bloomfield (Gilroy, 68).
