BIG Scottie Guyett is preparing to set out on a gatecrashing mission as he bids to help Cherries spoil the Aldershot Town party.
Guyett lines up at the Recreation Ground tomorrow when Cherries will be in the firing line for the Shots' first home league encounter for 16 years.
The Aussie defender played a part in their rise through the non-league pyramid when he made 13 appearances in the Conference for the Hampshire outfit in 2005.
And Guyett, who was on loan from Yeovil at the time, knows Kevin Bond's men will need to show their mettle in the eagerly awaited all-ticket clash.
He told the Daily Echo: "I was coming back from a knee operation when Yeovil sent me there for a couple of months and they were struggling at the time.
"They were short of players and it was a difficult period for the club. But they managed to turn it around and walked away with the Conference last season so it will be a difficult proposition for us.
"But I like playing when you've got everybody on your back. There is going to be a big crowd there and most of them will be behind Aldershot because it's their first home game back in the league.
"It's reasonably local for us so I would expect quite a few Bournemouth fans to make the trip as well and it should be a great atmosphere.
"But we've got to try to block that out and just concentrate on what we've got to do. The most important thing is to put in a good performance and, hopefully, the three points will follow."
Guyett, who cut his teeth in the English game with Gresley Rovers and Southport in the late 1990s, won the Conference title with Chester in 2004.
The 32-year-old joined Cherries on a two-year contract following his release by Yeovil in the summer and has turned in two solid displays in the first two games of the season.
Like Cherries, Aldershot were knocked out of the Carling Cup by Championship opposition in midweek following a 3-1 defeat at Coventry City.
Guyett added: "If we can put in a performance like we did in the second half against Cardiff then maybe we can get a positive result.
"A lot of the Championship sides have got a lot of Premiership experience and are decent but we matched Cardiff for long periods in the second half.
"I've played in the Conference and I've played in League One and League Two. The higher you go, the more comfortable players are on the ball. And as you go down the leagues, it's more of a route-one style of football."
