KEVIN Bond has hinted he may keep faith with experienced strikers Jo Kuffour and Lee Bradbury for Cherries' trip to Aldershot Town tomorrow.
The pair linked up for Cherries' Carling Cup clash with Cardiff City, with Kuffour grabbing his first goal of the season in a 2-1 defeat.
Bond opted to switch formations in midweek after starting with Kuffour as a lone frontman against Gillingham in Cherries' League Two opener six days ago.
And with Brett Pitman still nursing a fat lip and new loan signing Ricky Sappleton likely to be on the bench, Kuffour and Bradbury could again be given the nod.
Bond said: "We know we need to try to be more of a threat in front of goal and maybe playing one central striker against Gillingham didn't help.
"It worked well in pre-season although Brett was the lone striker whereas Jo came back and hadn't really had enough training.
"We put two up front against Cardiff but didn't really carve out enough chances, which is an area we need to try to do something about if we can, either in terms of working with the players we've got or if we could get somebody else in."
Discussing Sappleton, who joined Cherries on a month's loan from Leicester on Tuesday, Bond said: "He's also short on match fitness. They don't have a reserve team in a league at Leicester so those players in between the youth team and first team can get lost.
"But he's got a presence and a reputation for scoring goals and is somebody we've been aware of for a while so we'll have a look at him and try to get him comfortable here.
"He's a big, imposing lad and you would think that, at his best, he would be a handful. But he's got to bed-in and adjust to our club and also life in the Football League."
Bond was among the crowd to see the Shots bow out of the Carling Cup following a 3-1 defeat at the Ricoh Arena on Wednesday.
He added: "They had a great win in their first game at Accrington on Saturday and I thought they were the better side for long periods against Coventry.
"They got hit by two goals inside five minutes in the second half, which really killed them off, although I didn't think they deserved it. They did exceptionally well and it's going to be a really difficult game for us."
Defender Ryan Garry is back in contention after recovering from a minor groin injury.
