DORSET are still in with a slim chance of Minor Counties Championship glory ahead of the Western Division clash against Oxfordshire, which begins tomorrow.
Sean Walbridge's side sit third in the table, just nine points adrift of leaders Cheshire, going into the three-day match at Dean Park.
Despite being two places above mid-table Oxfordshire, Walbridge is expecting a tough test against the team captained by experienced batsman and stand-in skipper Rob Williams.
"Oxfordshire are always a competitive side to play against, so we've just got to keep playing the way we have been," Walbridge told the Daily Echo.
"We've still got an outside chance of winning the Western Division title, although results would have to go our way. That's a big motivation for us."
Walbridge has made three changes to his side for the final Western Division fixture of the campaign, with Steve Selwood, Chris Park and Rich Banham all unavailable.
Replacing the trio are fit-again Glyn Treagus, wicketkeeper Tim Lamb and Martin Ford, while Henry Turner also returns after a shoulder injury to complete a 12-man squad.
Dorset: (from) Treagus, Park, Jones, Lawes, Cowley, Hicks (c), Metcalfe, Lamb, Belt, Ford, Kitzinger, Turner.
