WIMBORNE Town boss Christer Warren hailed star stopper Alan Walker-Harris after his two penalty saves kept Magpies' FA Cup dreams alive on Saturday.

The Cuthbury side will bring Dawlish Town back to Dorset tomorrow night, after holding them to a 0-0 draw in Devon.

But it took some serious heroics from Walker-Harris to retain their clean sheet.

Sammy Percival gave away Dawlish's first spot-kick after 10 minutes, but the Magpies keeper turned the weak effort around the post.

Scott Arnold then conceded the second five minutes before the break.

But Walker-Harris flew to the top corner to produce a magnificent stop and leave his manager breathing a huge sigh of relief.

Warren said: "It was one of those games where everything clicked for Alan and I'm really pleased for him.

"In our first game, he put his hand up to a couple of goals, which were his fault. But he came back with flying colours to produce a great performance that kept us in the game.

"To be fair, Dawlish battered us in the first half but we came into it in the second and started to cause them some problems."

Elsewhere, New Milton Town had no need for a replay, after crushing Amesbury Town 5-0 at Fawcett's Field.

Dominic Allen opened the scoring after 11 minutes but the home side left it late before turning on the style.

Rob Woolner made it two on 67, before Ashley Booker added a third on 75 and Warren Keller and John Grace completed the rout in the final three minutes.

Christchurch also cruised through, after a first half masterclass saw them defeat Melksham Town 2-1 at Wimborne's Cuthbury ground.

Russell Cook put them ahead on 25 and James Burden doubled the advantage 10 minutes later.

Bournemouth Poppies progressed into the Preliminary Round too with a 2-1 triumph over Fareham Town.

They were joined by Ringwood Town, who recorded a 1-0 home victory over Hallen AFC.

Hawmorthy United also chalk-ed up a 1-0 win at St Blazey.
