AFC BOURNEMOUTH midfielder Ryan Christie praised his side for getting “over the line” with 10 men away at Wolves.
Scottish international Christie played the entirety of the contest against Wolverhampton Wanderers as Cherries ran out 1-0 winners.
A dominant first half performance for Cherries only resulted in one goal, Antoine Semenyo getting on the scoresheet at Molineux.
In a far more even second-half Cherries had to fight to retain their lead, finishing the game with 10 men after Milos Kerkez’s red card.
Despite a few scares that were avoided after VAR checks, Cherries held onto to leapfrog Wolves in the Premier League table.
Discussing the game, Christie shared: “It was good.
“I thought in the first half we were amazing, played really, really well, creating chances.
“We were unlucky probably not to be more than one goal up at half-time.
“The second half was obviously a bit different.
“The red card changes everything and we were holding on towards the end.
“But great from the boys to get over the line.”
Cherries return to action this weekend, when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Vitality Stadium this Sunday (2pm).
Christie set up Dominic Solanke to score Cherries’ only goal in the reverse fixture, a 3-1 defeat at the Amex in September.
