DRAW specialists Christchurch got their third in four league games as their experiment with Friday night football proved an outstanding success.
Not only did Graham Kemp's boys garner a point off one of the Wessex League's most highly-rated teams in Brockenhurst after a goalless draw.
But they also attracted a bumper crowd of about 150 that was way above the usual attendance that turns up at Hurn Bridge.
Kemp said: "Brock have signed some big name players as they want to compete for the title, but we more than matched them.
"It was quite an open game although neither keeper was really tested. Both teams played up to the last 30 yards and both defences were on top. We had two Gareth Barnes headers cleared off the line, one in the first half and one after the break, while they had a couple of chances, so a draw was probably a fair result."
Kemp added: "We got a gate of about 150, which is great.
"We're pleased with that and we'll try and do it again.
"We'll visit Brock on a Friday later in the season but we'll do another home game on a Friday before the end of the campaign."
Priory travel to Wimborne today (3pm) with the same squad on duty against Brock.
Christchurch: Kearn, Linpow, Green, Crutchley, Dillon, Brock, Smith, Burden, Barnes, Cook (Burrows 50), Keates (Lawrence 60). Unused subs: Strong, Blake, Blackmore.
