DAVE Ewen's last-gasp double earned New Milton a dramatic share of the spoils from a 2-2 draw with local rivals Lymington Town at Fawcett's Field.
Ewen netted twice in the final two minutes - the second from the penalty spot - to deny the visitors the derby bragging rights.
First-half goals from Nick Cooper and Darren Ritchie had put Lymington in the ascendancy before Ewen pulled one back after converting Ryan Long's cross.
And with time running out, Ewen netted from the spot after Lymington's Joe Dorrington had been sent off for handling Warren Kenna's goalbound drive.
New Milton joint-manager Andy Bye said: "We didn't do too badly in the first half but gave away a couple of sloppy goals. We did okay in the second half but weren't brilliant.
"We did really well against Moneyfields on Saturday and the lads worked really hard but they weren't quite at the races today."
Bye added: "We've got a very young side and we're coming off the back of a poor season last season.
"We've started well and there have been a lot of pluses to take. The lads have set the standard and now they've got to try to keep to it."
New Milton Town: Anderson, Woods, Coleman, Grace, Walker, Booker (Sampays, 65), Kenna, Ewen, Long, Cole (Woolner, 65), Burt.
