HAMWORTHY United boss Phil Simkin blasted his players for a "totally unacceptable" first-half display after they had succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at Brockenhurst.
Kev James's double, coupled with a goal from Tom Jeffes, saw the Badgers race into a 3-0 interval lead.
And although Warren Byerley pulled one back for the Hammers in a much-improved second-half showing, Simkin knew the damage had already been done.
He said: "I was very disappointed with our first-half performance and I don't expect it to happen again.
"It was even more galling because Brockenhurst didn't have a shot on goal in the second half and we put them under the cosh for the rest of the game. The second half was incredibly better. It was chalk and cheese."
Hamworthy United: Peters, Gilbert, Grimason, Cherrett, Walker, Dovell, McCabe, Jackson, Crow, Byerley, Claremont.
